he biophotonics group at LENS, is looking for a IT on “EBRAINS 2.0 – Management and analysis of big data in the field of advanced fluorescence microscopy”.

The required person must provide services to support the technical-scientific activities carried out at LENS as part of the European Project EBRAINS 2.0 and will last 18 months.

The deadline for submitting the application for selection is 17/06/2024.

The position involves carrying out the following activities:
• ensure big-data analysis operations in the field of advanced high-resolution fluorescence microscopy, such as light-sheet and two-photon microscopy for brain and mouse mapping;
• ensure the development of customized software applications for the management of data analysis also ensuring image post-processing, archiving, atlassing, automatic segmentation of images using artificial neural networks;
• guarantee the sharing of data produced during acquisitions through the EBRAINS platform following the principles of FAIR data.

In addition to the skills required to carry out the activities listed above, the following knowledge is required:
• programming (Python, C++, Bash, Linus);
• analysis and processing of big data;
• control software and electronics
• good command of written and spoken English.
